Thanks for taking a look at this biography.  My name is Joe Sammartino.  I was first licensed in 1979 as a Novice.  I am trained as an electrical engineer but have been in professional sales for the past 24 years selling and marketing hardware and software to the likes of IBM, Lucent, Compaq, Dell, Celestica, Solectron, Jabil, Philips, Siemens, and just about every other major global electronic manufacturer.  I had worked for GenRad, formerly General Radio.  GenRad was the oldest electronics company in the US.  It was founded in 1915 and acquired by Teradyne in 2000, effectively ending an 85 year run.

I now work in the Mobile Resource Management industry providing hosted GPS/AVL solutions for high productivity and cost efficient management of mobile assets - people, vehicles or both!

I was Deputy Coordinator of Clifton's Office of Emergency Management and led the communications team for several years.  Clifton OEM sponsors the 224.360 (KB2N) repeater in town and supports the communications needs of the EOC, mobile command center, and OEM coordinator. Occasionally, Clifton OEM provides services for special events.  I was also a member of Passaic County RACES and ARES.  Because of my relocation to Arizona in 2006, I have resigned from these organizations but feel privileged to have been a member and contributor.

I am also proud to be a member and "reviver" of the Clifton Amateur Radio Society.

The KB2N repeater also supports an Echolink node via the N2SDB-R node (#283649).  Access is restricted since the repeater can be called into emergency service at any time.

I have the privilege to moderate or co-moderate several YAHOO Groups, among them are:

Other hobbies include motorcycling and shooting.

My personal inventory - (1) wife, (1) cat, (2) kids, (4) dogs.  (This was ordered by ascending quantity - preference is not implied. )
